Is there any tips or tricks I should know about? My 718 and pro pack should be here any day.

make sure the bed is level to the planer head. go through the manual and check everything out. roller adjustments in the manual are starting points. i keep mine adjusted down about 1/8" or so tighter. have fun

Another thing is to use a solid bed board made from mdf or plywood. The more rigid the table is smoother the finish will be. I also added rubber bushings under the motor mounts to help with vibration.
Thanks, Justin

I am new to this board.
I own 2 ,718 and they run 6 to 10 hrs a day making , Moulding, Panelling, and flooring.
The challenge I 've had was allways the double router T&G or wainscotting involving the dual routers at the same time.
All is very leveled using the polymer bedboard from WM.
The problem is when the pieces reach the 3rd feed roller it pulls the piece downward and tilts the outfeed bed extension upward as well so at around 4" on every pieces I have a major snipe.
I called WM and their answer were , and I quote " we are thinking about cast iron steel bed extensions, d'ont know were it's at for now, but you should put a 2 x 4 under the extension table on the outfeed side and it will solve your problem.
Indeed it solved it!!!
I find it a little awkward to have to do this....
I wonder if I should get the outfeed table soldered to the planner bed???
Any thoughts on this.
Best.

The router set-up is the stupidist thing I've ever bought. I made my own out feed table with a 5hp motor attached to it, my thoughts on woodmasters outfeed and dual router set-up is to Trash the stock outfeed table and build a new one.

Justin Wright, You have a few pics of your outfeed table? I would love to see it. I'm not sure how or if you can post pics. If you can't, would you email. Thanks Lucas
